Managed Transport & Delivery
Careful, rider-aligned transport for bikes — managed as a service, not treated like generic freight.
"How do we get it from seller to rider without shortcuts, damage, or vague handoffs?"
Method is chosen based on route alignment and risk — not optimism. Clear scope, clear timing, clear responsibility.
- Managed delivery (not courier-style)
- One primary bike per booking (multi-asset by arrangement)
- Delivery method chosen by route + suitability
- Personal delivery or managed freight (boxed), depending on timing
- Quoted and confirmed before payment

What This Is:
This is a managed transport service for a specific bike — where method, timing, and responsibility are confirmed upfront.
It's designed for riders who value a calm, predictable handoff more than a "cheapest and fastest" courier outcome.
The goal is a clean delivery — with no ambiguity about who is responsible at each step.
What This Is Not:
To keep this reliable, there are clear boundaries.
This service does not include:
- Same-day / "ASAP" courier-style delivery promises
- Speculative runs (we don't move items without a confirmed plan)
- Unlimited storage or holding without agreement
- Open-ended "can you also grab…" extras without scope approval
- "Cheapest possible" freight selection at the expense of risk
If your priority is purely speed at minimum cost, traditional courier freight may be a better fit. This service is for controlled delivery, not urgency theatre.
Delivery Methods:
Delivery method is chosen based on route alignment, timing, and risk. You'll always know which method applies and why.
Option 1 — Personal Delivery (Unboxed)
Best when delivery aligns with a confirmed route. Bikes stay assembled. No unnecessary packing and reassembly.
- Pickup and delivery coordinated directly
- Bike remains in a controlled environment
- Handoff at an agreed location
Option 2 — Managed Freight (Boxed)
Best when route timing doesn't align — or when distance makes freight the sensible option. Packing is verified or supervised.
- Boxing/packing requirements confirmed upfront
- Freight selected for suitability (not price alone)
- Clear responsibility checkpoints
How Timing Works:
- Personal delivery runs on confirmed routes and capacity
- If a route doesn't run, it doesn't run — no limbo
- Managed freight is usually the right choice for tight timelines
- Timing is confirmed before any payment
If you have a hard deadline, include it in the request. If it's unrealistic, we'll let you know.
What We Handle:
Coordination
Pickup and delivery logistics with clear handoff points.
Handling & Protection
Controlled handling appropriate to high-value equipment.
Packing Oversight (When Boxed)
Packing requirements confirmed so the bike is protected in transit.
Proof Of Handoff
Clear documentation at pickup and delivery to remove ambiguity.
The goal is simple: a clean transfer from seller to rider — without the stress of "hope it arrives okay."
Boundaries (So This Stays Reliable):
- One primary asset per booking unless explicitly scoped otherwise
- Pickup and delivery windows must be agreed in advance
- No speculative pickups "just to get started"
- Scope changes (extra items, extra stops, extra waiting) require approval
These boundaries aren't about being difficult — they're what makes delivery predictable.
Common Edge Cases (And How They're Handled):
- Multiple bikes: possible, but must be disclosed and quoted as a multi-asset job.
- Seller delays: waiting time is limited; extended delays may require rescheduling or method change.
- Buyer not available: delivery requires a confirmed handoff plan — no ambiguous "leave it somewhere."
- Route changes: if a route changes, you'll be informed and options provided.
- Boxing quality: if packing is inadequate for freight, the job pauses until corrected.
Pricing & Payment:
Delivery is confirmed and quoted before payment. The quote includes the confirmed method and timing window.
Once confirmed, payment is required to lock the booking. If freight is required, freight costs and packing requirements are included in the quote.
