Inspection and Purchase Handling

Inspection and purchase handling

Confirm what you are actually buying before the money changes hands.

An independent, buyer-side inspection of a specific bike, documented clearly so you can make a grounded decision from a distance. Photos hide wear. Sellers minimise issues. Urgency clouds judgement. This service exists to level the field.

What you will get

Evidence and a sober recommendation. Not reassurance.

Delivered digitally after the inspection: photos, notes, and video where practical. If the honest answer is don't buy it, you will get that answer plainly.

Condition pack

Photo set and written notes, with video walkthrough where practical. Everything documented for re-reading at your own pace.

Truth vs listing

What matches the seller's description and what does not. No soft language, no "should be fine."

Risk flags

The wear or damage signals that change the decision. Named specifically, not summarised away.

A clear recommendation

Proceed, proceed with trade-offs, or walk away. A real position, not a hedge.

If you proceed

What to confirm before money moves, and what to watch for once the bike is in your hands.

If you walk away

A clean exit with confidence, not doubt. No pressure to proceed to justify the inspection fee.

No hype. No soft language. Just evidence and a straight call on whether to proceed.

Who this is for

You cannot be there. You need someone who can.

  • You are buying remote or interstate and cannot inspect in person
  • You have seen enough listings to know photos can hide a lot
  • You want a calm second set of eyes before transferring money
  • You need proof of condition for your own confidence
  • You would rather walk away than talk yourself into a mistake

How it works

Feasibility confirmed before anything moves.

  1. 01

You send the listing and seller details

The link to the exact listing or full description with photos, seller name and suburb, preferred contact method, your timing constraints, and anything you want checked closely: stanchions, wheels, frame, drivetrain.

  2. 02

    We confirm feasibility and fee

Inspections are scheduled based on availability, location, and urgency. If travel applies, the cost is confirmed in writing before any payment. If it is not realistic within your timeframe, you will be told early, before anything moves.

  3. 03

We inspect in person and document everything

Overall condition versus the listing description. Wear patterns and neglect signals. Damage indicators, including the ones that look fine in photos. Anything that changes the risk or cost of ownership.

  4. 04

You receive the condition pack and a clear recommendation

Delivered digitally. Structured for clarity and re-reading. The recommendation is a real position, not a hedge. If the honest answer is do not buy it, that is what you will get.

Optional add-on

Purchase handling: secure the transaction if you decide to proceed.

Purchase handling exists for one reason: security at the moment money changes hands. If you choose to proceed, we can be present with the seller while funds transfer, then take custody of the bike and move it into the next stage.

Immediate handling

When timing allows, we can stay nearby after the inspection, send you a brief verdict and key media, then return to the seller to complete payment and handover once you decide to proceed.

Return visit

If you want time to read the full report before deciding, purchase handling can be scheduled as a second visit. Return visits carry a separate distance-based visit fee, confirmed in writing before proceeding. The inspection itself is never charged twice.

You are never expected to decide on the spot to make it cheaper. The goal is calm decisions, with clear costs when extra travel is required.

Scope and questions

What this covers and what it does not.

What this is not

This is inspection and documentation, not a workshop service. It does not include mechanical servicing, teardown, or repairs. It does not include guarantees, certification, or a roadworthy-style sign-off. It does not cover multiple bikes in one booking unless scoped explicitly, open-ended listing searches, or acting as a negotiation agent.

This is a visible-condition inspection. Hidden faults below the surface require a workshop teardown, which is a separate service with a separate scope.

Do I need to be available during the inspection?

Not necessarily. Most buyers prefer to receive the condition pack and read it properly before deciding. If timing is tight and you are available, we can contact you shortly after the inspection while still nearby.

What if I decide not to buy?

That is a valid outcome, often the correct one. The inspection stands on its own. There is no pressure to proceed with purchase handling or delivery, and no obligation to justify walking away.

What about seller access issues?

If access is refused or the inspection is rushed past a reasonable threshold, you will be told immediately and the job stops cleanly. You will not be billed for an inspection that could not be completed properly.

Can you inspect multiple bikes?

Each bike is a separate inspection unless scoped explicitly as a multi-bike booking. If you have more than one option you want inspected, include that in your request and we will confirm feasibility and scope before proceeding.

We are riders too. Why does that matter?

Because we know how these deals actually go. Photos hide wear, sellers minimise issues, and urgency can cloud judgement. This service exists to level the field so you can decide clearly, with evidence, not hope.

How to proceed

Two paths, depending on where the bike is.
